MY WISH LIST: NARS “DOLCE VITA BLUSHER & LIPSTICK” / İSTEK LİSTEM: NARS “DOLCE VITA ALLIK & RUJ”

Nars does some of the best blushers in the world for sure. There is always an endless collection of permanent and limited edition shades. My all time favourite Nars blusher doesn’t come as a surprise however. I’m a sucker for the brand’s “Orgasm” blusher (have to note that I’m not a big fan of their name selections though). Recently I’ve got my eyes set on another shade; the oh-so-perfect “Dolce Vita”. I have this shade in lip pencil form and it’s one of my favourite lip shades and a definite repurchase. I’ve had that lip pencil for a long time but now I want more “Dolce Vita” in my life. I’ve seen the swatches of the blusher and the lipstick and they’re more than gorgeous! The blusher is like a muted matte pink/red and the lipstick is a sheer red with brownish undertones. I always tell myself that I don’t need any more blushers (or makeup for that matter) ‘coz they all seem to look alike once blended out but that can never be the case. Lipsticks can have more unique shades and finishes but most same tone blushers look the same on the cheeks. Doesn’t matter though! If I want it, I’ll have it! If I want it now, I’ll have it now! It’s frikkin Nars after all… 🙂

Nars kesinlikle dünyadaki en güzel allıkları yapan markalardan biri. Her zaman kalıcı ve sınırlı sayıdaki koleksiyonlarında onlarca allık renkleri oluyor. Benim hayatta en çok sevdiğim Nars allığı ise pek de sürpriz değil aslında. Markanın “Orgasm” allığının koyu bir fanıyım (gerçi isim seçimlerinden pek haz ettiğim söylenemez ama neyse). Son zamanlarda gözümü farklı bir renge diktim ama; müthiş mi müthiş “Dolce Vita”. Bende bu rengin kalem ruj versiyonu var, kendisi dünyada en sevdiğim ve bittikçe alacağım nadir ürünlerden biri. O allık bende uzun zamandır var ama artık hayatıma biraz daha “Dolce Vita” katmak istiyorum. Aynı rengin allık ve ruj swatchlarını internette görüp aşık oldum! Allık soluk tonlu mat bir pembe/kırmızı, ruj da hafif renk veren kahvemsi alt tonlu bir kırmızı. Kendime hep daha fazla allığa (ya da makyaj malzemesine) ihtiyacım olmadığını söylüyorum çünkü dağıtıldıklarında allıklar hemen hemen aynı renk duruyor zaten ama hiçbir zaman almama sözümde duramıyorum. Rujların ise daha özgün renk ve bitişleri olabiliyor ama allıklarınki öyle değil işte. Gerçi pek fark etmiyor! İstiyorsam yine alacağım! Şimdi istiyorsam da şimdi alacağım! Sonuçta Nars bu… 🙂

NEW / YENİ: MAC VELVETEASE LIP PENCILS

Did someone say Mac? Yes, I’m back to another Mac post. For someone with not many Mac products, I talk about Mac a lot I know. There’s another launch from Mac and this time they all come in lip pencil form. The new “Velvetease” lip pencils from Mac look so gorgeous that I kinda wanna have them all! These lip pencils have a velvet matte finish and they come in 12 beautiful colours. As Mac would do, the colours range from very nudes to very darks. What’s best (or best for me) is that you don’t need to make a mess with a sharpener because these lip pencils are retractable. One thing I hate is trying to find a sharpener that fits and no matter what surely you’ll be wasting loads of product too. These velvet pencils are an easier way to wear matte lipstick and with their mechanical forms they put another tick in the pros list. So far I haven’t read or seen any cons about them either, well that is if you don’t count the $20 price tag. Seriously though, if you don’t mind paying 20 bucks for it, definitely check them out. There is something for everyone and the range will be out this month.

Birileri Mac mi dedi? Evet, yine bir Mac yazısıyla karşınızdayım. Çok fazla Mac ürünü olmayan birine göre Mac’ten fazla bahsediyorum farkındayım. Mac yine yepyeni ürünler çıkarıyor ve bu sefer hepsi kalem ruj şeklinde. Mac’in yepisyeni “Velvetease” kalem rujları o kadar güzel duruyor ki hepsini istiyorum! Bu rujların kadifemsi mat bir yapısı var ve 12 güzel renkte bulmanız mümkün. Mac’ten beklenen üzere, çok açık tonlardan çok koyu tonlara her şeyi bulmanız mümkün. En iyisi ise (ya da benim için en iyisi) kalemtıraş kullanarak her tarafı batırmak zorunda değilsiniz çünkü bu rujlar asansörlü. Nefret ettiğim bir şey varsa o da her kalem ruja uygun kalemtıraş bulmaya çalışmak ve ne olursa olsun ruju açmaya çalışırken bir ton ürün harcıyorsunuz. Bu kadife rujlar, mat ruj kullanmanın daha kolay yolu bir nevi ve mekanik şekilleri de bir artı daha kazandırıyor. Ben şu ana kadar zaten eksi olabilecek bir yorum görmedim de duymadım da, tabi eğer en az 50-60₺’lık fiyatını saymazsanız. Ama gerçekten, eğer bu kadar parayı ödemek sizi rahatsız etmeyecekse mutlaka bir göz gezdirin. Herkesin zevkine göre bir renk mutlaka var ve umuyorum ki diğer ülkelerdeki gibi bizde de Aralık ayında satışa çıkacaklar.

MY WISHLIST / İSTEK LİSTEM: REVLON COLORBURST MATTE BALMS

I find most matte lipsticks too matte. I know they’re supposed to be matte but I also don’t want my lipstick to look like I painted my lips with two coats of wall paint. In her recent video Tanya Burr talks about some “Revlon Matte Balms” and she mentioned that they are very similar to the “Nars Velvet Matte” lip pencils. Since I quite like the formula and the way the Nars ones look, I’m now tempted to try the Revlon ones. I’m after two of the shades; “Fierce” and “Sultry”. They’re both nude colours, “Fierce” is a dark nude with brown undertones and “Sultry” is another dark nude with pink undertones. I did swatch them before and quite liked the formula. I also have some of the “Lacquer Balms” and I love how they apply. Those ones are so creamy and easy to wear. I initially didn’t want any of the “Matte Balms” but when I saw Tanya talking about them I though I could give them a try. Well, yet another item on my wishlist. The list never ends… 😉

Çoğu mat ruju fazla mat buluyorum ben. Mat olmaları gerektiğinin farkındayım da aynı zamanda dudağıma iki kat duvar boyası sürmüşüm gibi de durmak istemiyorum. Son videosunda Tanya Burr, “Revlon Matte Balm”lardan ve “Nars Velvet Matte” kalem rujlara ne kadar benzediğinden bahsetmişti. Nars’ınkilerin yapısını ve verdikleri görünümü beğendiğim için de Revlon’unkileri denemeyi kafaya koydum. Özellikle iki rengin peşindeyim; “Fierce” ve “Sultry”. İkisi de “nude” renkler, “Fierce” koyu ve kahverengi alt tonlu bir nude, “Sultry” ise koyu ve pembe tonlu bir nude. Bu kalemleri daha önce Watsons’ta denemiştim, benim istediğim renkleri ya da her rengi mevcut mu bilmiyorum ama yapılarını çok beğenmiştim. Bende daha parlak olan “Lacquer Balm”ların da birkaç rengi var ve onların da sürümünü çok seviyorum. Oldukça kremsi ve kolay sürülen bir yapıları var. Bu “Matte Balm”ları başlangıçta almayı düşünmemiştim ama Tanya’nın yorumlarını duyunca bir denemem gerektiğini düşündüm. E istek listesine bir ürün daha eklendi. Liste hiç bitmiyor… 😉

MY WISHLIST / İSTEK LİSTEM: NARS SATIN LIP PENCIL “PALAIS ROYAL”

I was gonna write about something else today, another bronzer to be specific but then I saw this. It’s the perfect Autumn shade and since it’s September now I find it okay to talk about autumnal stuff. This shade from Nars is so gorgeous. “Palais Royal” has the most beautiful name and the most amazing dark plum shade. It’s one of their Satin Lip Pencils which makes it much creamier than the Velvet Matte ones. I own one of the matte ones and it’s quite long-lasting but it’s a bit on the dry side. These are creamier and softer but they’re also easier to come off. So maybe a lip pencil underneath would be a better choice for some more longevity. It’s such a gorgeous colour that I don’t really care about its lasting power though. Come November and this could be a favourite. There are so many beautiful shades in the range but I want to stick to my wishlist and get this one first. 🙂

 

Bugün başka bir şeyden bahsedecektim, bir bronzlaştırıcıdan hatta ama sonra bunu gördüm. Mükemmel bir Sonbahar rengi ve artık Eylül’de olduğumuza göre sonbaharla ilgili şeylerden bahsetmeyi kabul edilebilir buluyorum. Nars’ın bu rengiyse bi’ harika. “Palais Royal” hem adı hem rengi güzel koyu mürdüm tonunda bir kalem ruj. Nars’ın Satin Lip Pencil‘larından yani Velvet Matte‘lara göre çok daha kremsi. Bende mat olanlardan bir tane var ve oldukça kalıcı ama biraz da kuru. Bunlar daha kremsi ve yumuşak ama daha kolay çıkıyor. O yüzden belki altına bir dudak kalemi kullanmak kalıcılığını artırmak için daha iyi bir seçenek olabilir. O kadar müthiş bir renge sahip ki kalıcılığı çok da umurumda değil gerçi. Kasım ayı civarında favorilerim arasına girebilecek bir ürün tam. Seride bir sürü güzel tonda renk var ama ben istek listeme sadık kalıp ilk olarak bunu almak istiyorum. 🙂

Hello and welcome to my June favourites post! I’ve been trying to use something different each day so coming up with favourites at the end of the month is getting a bit difficult. But I still have some products I kept using the whole month. I’m not gonna keep the intro long and get started right away.

REVIEW / YORUM: REVLON COLORBURST LACQUER BALM

Since we only got Revlon in Turkey a couple of months ago and I love a good lip crayon during the hot days of summer I thought I ‘d write about the “Colorbust Lacquer Balms” today. I had bought them monhts before Revlon entered Turkey so they’re not like a recent purchase. These are the shinier version; the “Lacquer Balms”. There are also two other versions; the original “Balm Stains” and the matte version “Matte Balms”. I only have two colours right now; “130 Tease” and “140 Coy”. “Tease” is a sheer orange colour and “Coy” is a brown/red colour. They are really shiny but not shimmery or glittery at all. They do have specks of glitter in them but they don’t transfer on the lips, they just have a shiny, wet look to them. They’re not long-lasting as some other balm stains but I quite like them anyway. They have a soft and beautiful finish. I have to admit though “Coy” is a bit too dark for my fair skin tone but “Tease” is perfect for spring and summer. I’m not sure about the matte ones but I’d like to try out the orinial balm stains too. They retail for $9,49. I know I kept it short today but I’ll be back on Wednesday with some new items on my wishlist. See you then! x

Revlon, Türkiye’ye yalnızca bir-iki ay önce geldiği ve ben de sıcak yaz günlerinde güzek bir kalem ruja bayıldığım için bugün size “Colorburst Lacquer Balm”lardan bahsedeyim dedim. Bunları Revlon, Türkiye’ye giriş yapmadan aylar önce almıştım ben ama artık Watsons sayesinde Revlon yanıbaşımızda. Bendekiler daha parlak olan “Lacquer Balm” versiyonu ancak iki farklı versiyonu daha var; orijinal olanı “Balm Stain” ve mat olanı “Matte Balm”. Bende şu an için sadece iki rengi var; “130 Tease” ve “140 Coy”. “130 Tease” açık turuncu renginde, “140 Coy” ise kahve/kırmızı tonlarında. Çok güzel bir parlaklıkları var ama kesinlikle ışıltılı ya da simli falan değiller. İçlerinde sim taneleri var aslında ama dudağa sürdüğünüzde hiç de belli olmuyor, sadece parlak ve ıslak bir görünüm veriyorlar. Bazı “stain” kalem rujlar gibi kalıcı değiller ama ben yine de seviyorum. Yumuşak ve güzel bir yapıları var. Yalnız itiraf ediyorum benim açık tenimde “Coy” biraz fazla koyu duruyor ama “Tease” tam bahar ve yaz aylarına uygun bir renk. Mat olanları bilemem ama orijinallerinden de alıp denemeyi düşünüyorum. Fiyatlarının 35-40₺ civarında olması lazım Watsons’ta. Bugünlük kısa tuttum biliyorum ama Çarşamba günü istek listemdeki yeni ürünlerle geri döneceğim. Görüşmek üzere! x

NEW / YENİ: BOBBI BROWN SPRING 2015 HOT NUDES COLLECTION

Hello and welcome to another First Look Friday! Today I’ll be talking some new Bobbi Brown. This limited edition collection has been released in February and as all Bobbi Brown collections this one looks amazing too. This one is particularly intriguing for me as it consists of some beutiful nude shades, hence the name “Hot Nudes”. There is a beautiful beautiful eyeshadow palette with eight shades, an ink liner, three blush palettes, three Art Stick lip pencils and three matte lip colours. The shadow palette also comes with a dual-sided brush, even though it’s a small one I suppose it’d be good enough especially when travelling. The lip colours are brighter, I’m not sure on to  why they’re included in this nude collection but they’d be complimentary for nude eyes anyway. I also really want to try out the new rouge palettes, each has two matte and a shimmer blush in it. As I said this is a limited edition collection so hurry up if you wanna try some Bobbi Brown goodness! You can find the colour names below…

Bu sınırlı sayıdaki koleksiyon yurt dışında Şubat ayında satışa sunuldu, henüz buralarda göremedim ama Boyner’i takipte kalmak lazım. Tüm Bobbi Brown koleksiyonları gibi bu da muhteşem gözüküyor tabi ki. İsmi gibi “nude” renklerden oluşan bir koleksiyon olduğu için benim ilgili ayrıca çekiyor zaten. Koleksiyonda sekiz renkten oluşan dünyalar güzeli bir far paleti, bir eyeliner, üç allık paleti, üç kalem ruj ve üç mat ruj bulunuyor. Far paletinin içinde çift taraflı bir fırça da var, küçük de olsa bence özellikle seyahatlerde yeterli olabilecek bir fırça. Rujlarsa serinin daha parlak renkleri, açıkçası tam olarak neden “nude” koleksiyonun içinde olduklarını anlamasam da doğal gözlere tamamlayıcı olacak nitelikteler. Yeni allık paletleri de gözüme çok hoş gözükenlerden, her birinde iki mat, bir de ışıltılı allık bulunuyor. Hi everyone! Today I will show you my February faves. Unfortunately there’s not much this month since I had a week of makeup ban because of my lasik eye surgery and also I used eye drops for the whole month so I did less eye makeup. Let’s get to it anyway!

Herkese selam! Bugün sizlere Şubat ayı favorilerimi göstereceğim. Maalesef bu ay fazla bir şey yok. Hem lazer göz ameliyatı olmam nedeniyle bir haftalık makyaj yasağımdan hem de tüm ay boyunca göz damlası kullanmam nedeniyle daha az göz makyajı yapmamdan. Yine de başlayalım hadi!
