Hello everybody! Today I have a new(ish) makeup item to talk about. I’ve included a new item that I really want to try out in my wish list. I’m talking about the L’Oréal “Infallible Black Velvet Eyeliner”. What really brings my attention to this is that it has a velvet felt tip but it’s also a weird shape. Well, not that weird but it’s definitely not a regular eyeliner shape. I absolutely love almost all L’Oréal products. I don’t think there isn’t really one thing I’ve tried and failed to like yet. I have to admit that I have some high expectations from this. I know it’s only an eyeliner but I expect a lot when it comes to makeup, ok? With the shape of the eyeliner you can either do a thin or a thick line. Holding the liner tip so that it’s horizontal will let you make a thin line and holding it so that it’s vertical will let you make a thick line. Looks like an easy-to-use eyeliner so maybe it can be a useful tool for mastering that perfect feline flick. I don’t know but this plush looking liner makes me wanna create cat eyes. I’ve been on the look for it but haven’t seen one in the store yet. I’ll update you about it when I actually get my hands on it. Thanks for reading and see you on Friday! x

Herkese merhaba! Bugün sizlere bahsetmek istediğim yepyeni bir ürün var. Denemeyi çoık istediğim bu ürünü de istek listeme ekledim. Bahsettiğim ürün L’Oréal‘in “Infallible Black Velvet Eyeliner”ı. Benim bu ürüne ilgimi çeken şey ise kadife ucu ve garip şekli oldu. Yani şekli o kadar da garip sayılmaz ama bildiğimiz eyelinerlar gibi değil işte. Beni L’Oréal’in hemen hemen tüm ürünlerini çok beğeniyorum. Şimdiye kadar deneyip de beğenmediğim bir ürünleri olmadı galiba. Yalnız itiraf etmem lazım bu üründen beklentilerim çok yüksek. Sadece eyelinerdan bahsettiğimizin farkındayım ama makyaj malzemelerinden beklentilerim yüksek oluyor işte napayım? Bu eyelinerın şekli sayesinde ister kalın ister ince çizgiler çekmek mümkün. Kalemin ucunu yatay olacak şekilde tuttuğunuz zaman ince çizgiler, dikey olacak şekilde tuttuğunuz zaman kalın çizgiler çekebilirsiniz. Kullanması kolay bir eyeliner gibi gözüküyor açıkçası o yüzden belki o mükemmel kedi gözü için alıştırmalar yapmak adına ideal araç olabilir. Valla benim bu kalemin peluş ucunu gördükçe kedi gözü yapasım geliyor. Bir süredir bakıyorum ama hala mağazalarda bulamadım. Bulup da aldığım zaman size detaylı bilgi vereceğim. Hello, I’m back with a new drugstore haul. These were all purchased in the last month so I wanted to write a post about them and also give some mini reviews and first impressions on a few of them. Hello everyone! I’ve been seeing the products of Essence’s “Happy Girls Are Pretty” range all over the internet and the more I see them, the more I want them. I wasn’t that much interested in this collection but seeing the swatches and all make me wanna roll in makeup. This collection in particular has so many items that I’d gladly purchase and use, many more than the other Essence collections. The collection includes two eyeshadow palettes, two eye pencils, two tinted lip balms, a blusher, a contouring set, six nail polishes and a nail file. Now I only have the nail file (the least desirable item in this collection indeed) but I only wanted it because it comes in a plastic case and since my  current one is so old, I wanted to get a new one. The “better” options here though are… well basically everything else. I’m especially fond of one the eyeshadow palettes, the one with the, you guessed it, brown and neutral shades. Actually I’m quite fond of everything else too. 🙂

Herkese merhaba! Essence’in “Happy Girls Are Pretty” serisini habire internette görüp duruyorum ve ne kadar çok görürsem de o kadar istiyorum. Bu koleksiyon ilgimi pek çekmemişti aslında ama her yerde swatchları falan görünce makyaj malzemeleri içinde yuvarlanasım geldi işte. Özellikle bu koleksiyonda benim alıp kullanmak isteyeceğim epey bir ürün var, diğer Essence koleksiyonlarından çok daha fazla. Koleksiyonun içinde iki adet far paleti, iki adet göz kalemi, iki adet renkli dudak nemlendirici, bir adet allık, bir adet kontür seti, altı adet oje ve bir adet de törpü var. Bende şu an sadece törpü var (evet, koleksiyondaki en az heyecan verici şey) ama onu almamın nedeni plastik kapta olması. Benim şu anki kabım çok eskidiği için yenisini almak istedim. Buradaki “daha iyi” seçenekler ise… aslında geri kalan her şey. Özellikle de far paletlerinden, doğru tahmin ettiniz, kahve ve doğal tonlarda olanı  benim favorim. Aslında diğer her şey de favorim olabilir. 🙂

Both palettes come with five shades and a double sided sponge tip applicator. One of them is more brown-toned and the other one is more pastel and pink-toned. The eyeliners look really good too. These are automatic liners so you don’t need a sharpener, my favourite kind indeed. One of them is grey and the other one is brown. The tinted lip balms here are my favourite things in the range. There is a light pink one and a darker berry pink one which is the one I want to get my hands on so desperately. Also the blusher here is so cute, and coming from someone that hates girly stuff it says a lot. It looks like it could be a Physician’s Formula blusher with its heart shaped pattern. It’s made of two different shades of pink and since I’m currently loving my Essence “Silky Touch” blushers, I have high hopes for this one too. The contouring set looks really good too for a drugstore product. It comes with a contour shade which has a larger amount of product and a highlighter shade. Lastly the nail polishes are all soft, pastel colours and two of these are matte. So all in all this seems like a “pretty” good (pun intended) collection. I’d be “happy” to (another pun intended) have all these in my makeup collection. 😉

İki palette de beş renkte far ve çift taraflı sünger aplikatör var. Birisi daha kahve tonlu, ötekisi ise daha pastel ve pembe tonlu. Göz kalemleri de gayet güzel duruyor. Bunlar asansörlü olanlardan o nedenle kalemtıraşa gerek yok, en sevdiğim. Bunlardan birisi gri, diğeri ise kahverengi. Serideki renkli dudak nemlendiricileri ise benim asıl favorilerim. Bir tanesi daha açık, öteki ise daha koyu bir pembe, benim deli gibi istediğim de o koyu olan zaten. Ayrıca allık da çok sevimli, ki böyle fazla kızsal şeylerden nefret eden biri olarak “sevimli” nadiren kullandığım bir terimdir. Kalp şeklindeki deseniyle sanki bir Physician’s Formula allığıymış gibi duruyor. İki farklı tonda pembeden oluşuyor ve şu an Essence “Silky Touch” allıklarımı bayılarak kullandığım için bundan da beklentim yüksek. Kontür seti de yine uygun fiyatlı bir ürüne göre oldukça iyi gözüküyor. İçinde, daha fazla ürün içeren kısımda, kontür rengi ve bir de aydınlatıcı var. Son olarak ise ojelerin hepsi yumuşak, pastel tonlarda ve ikisi de mat. Özet geçmek gerekirse hepsi birbirinden “güzel” ve makyaj koleksiyonuma katmaktan “mutluluk” duyacağım ürünler (evet, öyle de soğuk esprilerim vardır). 😉

These are just the items that I’ve been constantly using and loving for the last year or a bit more. I’ve only included the best of the best otherwise we’d be here for two months. 🙂 So let’s jump right in to see what I’ve loved the most in 2015…

MY WISHLIST: CHINA GLAZE NAIL POLISHES / İSTEK LİSTEM: CHINA GLAZE OJELER

I don’t own a load of nail polishes. Just around 200… I’m not exaggerating either. Someone pushed me to count them a while ago and that was the number. For some reason I can still buy nail polish and each time I can still find an excuse. This time I’ve got my eyes set on these three nail polishes from China Glaze. They may seem similar to each other and that’s because they are. As always I picked three neutral shades for my wishlist. They’re all brown/beige toned polishes. “934 Swing Baby” is a glittery light golden shade, “846 Robotika” is a shimmery rose gold shade and “649 Hybrid” is a dark tan colour. I own nothing from China Glaze so I don’t know about its lasting power and all but I still feel like I have to have these shades. Pek ojem yoktur. 200 civarında falan yani… Abartmıyorum da hani. Bir süre önce saymam için biri zorladı ve sayı aynen böyleydi. Anlamadığım bir nedenden ötürü hala oje alabiliyorum ve hala her seferinde bir bahane bulabiliyorum. Bu sefer gözüm bu üç adet China Glaze ojede. Birbirlerine benzer gözükebilirler çünkü öyleler zaten. Her zamanki gibi istek listem için üç doğal renkte oje seçtim. Hepsi de kahve/bej tonlu ojeler. “934 Swing Baby” simli açık altın renkte, “846 Robotika” ışıltılı pembe altın renkte ve “649 Hybrid” ışıltılı koyu bronz renkte. China Glaze’den hiçbir ürüne sahip olmadığım için kalıcılığını falan bilemiyorum ama yine de bu renkler sahip olmak zorundaymışım gibi hissediyorum. NEW / YENİ: THE BALM MEET MATT(E) HUGHES LONG-LASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK

Oh my God, the time I spent writing the name of this… The Balm is a high street brand I really like. I own mostly eyeshadow palettes from the brand but these liquid lipsticks look quite promising. These lip lacquers have eight shades ranging from darks to nudes. I love the colour range which consists of mostly bright colours. As the name suggests these dry down to a matte finish when they set and you can’t go wrong with bright matte lips. I describe these as lip lacquers because they’re something in between a lipgloss and a lipstick. They’re also quite long-lasting and act as a lip stain. Something you need to keep in mind is that these have a vanilla mint scent to them, I quite like it but if you’re sensitive to smells beware. Since I haven’t had a chance to try them out I can’t comment on the formula so I’m not gonna keep this post long but there will be another The Balm post soon in this category again. Allahımmmm, bunun adını yazana kadar harcadığım zaman… The Balm benim çok sevdiğim uygun fiyatlı bir marka. Çoğunlukla benim tercihim markanın far paletlerinden yana olsa da bu likit rujlar oldukça güzel gözüküyor. Koyu renklerden doğal tonlara sekiz farklı seçeneği var. Renkler gerçekten çok güzel, çoğunlukla canlı tonlardan oluşuyor.  İsminde de söylediği gibi mat bir bitişi var ve sürdükten sonra matlaşıp o şekilde kalıyor. Parlak ve mat dudaklar her zaman iyidir. Likit ruj olarak adlandırılma sebebiyse ruj ve dudak parlatıcı arasında bir ürün olması. Uzun süreli kalıcı oldukları için “lip stain” gibi de düşünülebilirler. Yalnız naneli vanilya kokulu olduğu aklınızda bulunsun, ben böyle kokuları seviyorum ama siz kokuya karşı hassassanız dikkat edin. Bunları henüz deneme fırsatım olmadığı için yapıları hakkında yorum yapamayacağım o yüzden yazımı biraz kısa kesiyorum ama iki vakte kadar bu kategori altında bir The Balm yazım daha olacak. Şimdi sizleri renk isimleri ve tanımlarıyla baş başa bırakıyorum. “Swatch”ları The Balm’ın websitesinde görebilirsiniz ve The Balm ürünlerini Gratis’lerde bulabilirsiniz. REVIEW / YORUM: EKLİPS NATURAL KONJAC SPONGE CİLT TEMİZLEME SÜNGERİ

Hello everyone! I came to realise that I’ve been neglecting skin care products on my blog so here’s one for you. 🙂 Since I saw Youtuber Ingrid Nilsen using the “Dew Puff” I wanted to get a “Konjac” sponge for myself too but couldn’t find one where I live and each time I went on Feel Unique I thought “next time”. Fast forward to a few months later I found one in a drugstore. These “Eklips” brand sponges have two options; a larger, flatter white one and a smaller, rounder light green one. I knew from other brands that the white ones are the original ones and the green ones are supposed to be for blemish-prone skin. Although these ones didn’t state anything particular on the packaging I still went for the green one. As you’ll see in the photos this is my second one. I used the first one for a little over two months and then it started to get flatter, like it kinda got empty on the inside. It’s a bit hard to describe, it just wasn’t getting much bigger when I wet it and wasn’t performing like it used to. It does say on the packaging that you should get a new one after two months anyway and that’s exactly how long it lasts.

Blogumda cilt bakım ürünlerini biraz ihmal ettiiğimi fark ettim o yüzden sizlere bu yazıyı hazırladım. 🙂 Yine ünlü bir Youtube şahsı olan Ingrid Nilsen’ın “Dew Puff” kullandığını gördüğümden beri “benim de Konjac süngerim olsa, anne bana niye almıyorsun, bizde niye yok” diyordum. Ama Türkiye’de bulamadığım ve Feel Unique’in websitesine girdiğim her sefer “neyse sonra alırım” dediğimden bir türlü kısmet olmamıştı… ta ki iki-üç ay önce Gratis’te “Eklips” markalı konjac süngerleri görene dek. Bunların iki seçeneği var; biri daha geniş ve düz olan beyazı, diğeri de daha ufak ve yuvarlak olan açık yeşili. Diğer markalardan bildiğim kadarıyla beyaz olanlar orijinal, yeşil olanlarsa sivilceye yatkın ciltler içindi. Bunların ambalajında özellikler herhangi bir şey belirtilmemiş olsa da ben yine de yeşil olanı aldım. Resimlerde de görebileceğiniz gibi bu benim ikinci süngerim. Birinciyi iki ayı biraz geçkince kullandım, sonrasında daha düz bir hal almaya başladı, sanki içi boşalmış gibi. Tarif etmesi biraz zor ama ıslatınca pek büyümüyordu ve performansı eskisi gibi değildi diyebilirim. Zaten ambalajında da iki ay sonrasında yenisini almanızı öneriyor ki aynen de o kadar gidiyor bir tanesi.

It comes off the packaging moist, when you leave it to dry it gets smaller but turns back to its original form once it’s wet. How I use it is that I put some cleanser directly on my face first then massage it into my skin in circular motions with this sponge. It works quite well for me, I’ve been using it for over two months and so far I haven’t had any problems with it. I do feel like it gives my face a deep cleanse and I don’t get blemishes from it either. These are natural konjac sponges (says on the packaging that it’s combined of water and “Amorphophallus Konjac Root Extract”) so unlike the synthethic one these are quite gentle on sensitive skin too. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s on the look for a konjac sponge and it doesn’t need to be this one either. There are loads of brands coming out with these kind of sponges so why not try one and see for yourself. x

Ben nasıl kullanıyorum peki… Öncelikle direkt olarak yüzüme biraz temizleyici sürüyorum, sonra bu süngeri kullanarak dairesel hareketlerle yüzüme masaj yaparak yediriyorum. Ben oldukça memnun kaldım, iki aydan fazladır kullanıyorum ve şimdiye kadar hiçbir problem yaşamadım. Yüzümü derinlemesine temizlediğini hissediyorum ve sivilce falan da yapmadı bende. Bunlar doğal “Konjac” süngerler (amabalajında temel olarak su ve “Amorphophallus Konjac Kökü Ekstresi”nden oluştuğu yazıyor) o nedenle sentetik olanların aksine hassas ciltler için de uygun. Konjac sünger arayanlara şiddetle tavsiye ederim, Gratis’te 14-15₺ satış fiyatı var ancak ben ikisini de alırken indirimdeydi ve 10-11₺ gibi bir fiyata aldım. Siz de deneyip görün derim. x

REVIEW / YORUM: THE BALM STAINIAC CHEEK & LIP TINT

Hello everyone! My urge to write about summery, light beauty products continues. Today I’ll be talking about The Balm’s Stainiac Cheek & Lip Tint. I have the colour “Prom Queen” which is supposed to be a “sheer rosy pink” according to The Balm itself but is actually a “sheer reddy red”. Seriously though, there’s nothing pink about it. There’s also a berry pink one that’s called “Beauty Queen” and a soft peach one that’s called “Homecoming Queen”. Now I can’t imagine what “Beauty Queen” would look like if “Prom Queen” is already looking quite red. I wanted to get this colour since I already had Benefit’s Benetint but this turned out to be a dupe for that one. They both basically do the same thing; they’re both cheek anf lip tints, are identical in colour and stay well on both cheeks and lips. The only difference is the formula; Benetint has a liquid, watery formula whereas Stainiac has gel-like formula to it which I like better. I mean I do like Benetint but honestly this one is much easier to use. When you try to apply Benetint you need to be really REALLY quick. Since they’re both stains you do need to move fast with this one too but don’t need to panic as much. When you put it on it doesn’t start running down your cheeks or you don’t need to worry about it dripping all over your clothes. I just love love love it! It’s not too drying either, when you first apply it does feel dry but you don’t need to use a balm or anything as it gets much softer in a few minutes. It gives a healthy look to the face with a hint of redness, rosy cheeks and my-lips-but-better lips. It’s also a much affordable alternative to Benetint. And can we just take a moment to appreciate the packaging? Benetint comes in a bulky bottle that I’m always convinced that it’ll spill and make a mess in my makeup bag each time I travel or even just when I want to keep it in my bag for touch-ups. It also has a brush applicator that I’m not a big fan of. Stainiac, however comes in a more secure packaging with a doe-foot applicator which is much easier to use and to travel with. I’ll take Stainiac over Benetint anytime! If you want something lightweigth on your cheeks and lips and don’t want to deal with brushes this one will be your summer love. (I’d love to compare them both in photos but I’m away for the weekend so I’ll put some comparison photos as soon as I go back 😉 )

Selamlar! Yaza yakışır hafiflikte güzellik ürünlerinden bahsetme arzum hala kuvvetle devam ediyor. Bugün The Balm’ın Stainiac yanak ve dudak renklendiricisinden bahsedeceğim. Bendeki rengi “Prom Queen”; The Balm’ın kendi ifadesine göre “hafif pembe” olması gerekirken “hafif kırmızı” olan rengi. Gerçekten ben kendisinde pembemsi olan herhangi bir şey göremedim. Aynı zamanda daha koyu pembe “berry” renkte “Beauty Queen” ve daha açık şeftali renkte “Homecoming Queen” adında iki rengi daha var. “Prom Queen” bile bu kadar kırmızıysa “Beauty Queen” nasıl durur hiç bilmiyorum. Bende Benefit’in Benetint’i de olduğundan bu rengi denemek istemiştim ama birbirinin tıpkısı iki ürün keşfetmiş oldum. İkisi de esasında aynı işi yapıyor, ikisi de yanak ve dudakları renklendiriyor, renkleri aynı ve hem yanakta hem dudakta uzun süre dayanıyorlar. Tek farklarıyla yapılarından kaynaklanıyor; Benetint’in sıvı, su gibi bir yapısı var, Stainiac ise benim daha çok sevdiğim jel gibi bir yapıya sahip. Yani Benetint’i seviyorum tabi ama bunun kullanımı çok daha kolay açıkçası. Benetint’i süreceğiniz zaman çok ÇOK hızlı olmanız gerekiyor. İkisi de kalıcı oldukları için ikisini de sürerken hızlı hareket etmekte fayda var tabi ama o kadar panik yapmaya gerek kalmıyor bunda. Sürdüğünüz zaman Benetint gibi yanaklarınızdan akmaya başlamıyot ya da kıyafetlerinize damlamasından korkmuyorsunuz. Çok çok çok seviyorum ben bunu! Dudakları fazla kurutan bir yapısı da yok, ilk sürdüğünüzde biraz kuru gelebiliyor ama birkaç dakika içinde daha yumuşak bir hal aldığı için dudak kremi gibi bir şey kullanmanıza gerek kalmıyor. Yüze hafif kırmızımsı, çok sağlıklı bir görünüm veriyor; pembemsi yanaklar ve “benim dudaklarım ama daha iyisi” dediğimiz tabirde dudaklara sahip oluyorsunuz. Tabi aynı zamanda Benetint’e göre çok daha uygun fiyatlı. Ve ambalajına bakabilir miyiz lütfen? Benetint fazla yer kaplayan bir şişede geliyor ve her seyahatte ya da çantamda taşıdığım her anda makyaj çantama dökülüp etrafı batıracağına emin oluyorum. Aynı zamanda çok da bayılmadığım fırçalı bir aplikatörü var. Stainiac’ın ise çok daha güvenli ve parlatıcı aplikatörü gibi bir aplikatörü var ve kullanımı da yanında taşıması da çok daha kolay. Stainiac’ı her türlü Benetint’e tercih ederim ben! Eğer yanaklarınızda ve dudaklarınızda hafif bir ürün kullanmayı tercih ediyorsanız ve fırçalarla uğraşmaya tahammülünüz yoksa yaz aşkınız bu tatlı ürün olabilir.
