Welcome to the first part of my 2015 favourites! This part will include skin care, body care and hair care. Next Sunday I’ll do the second part of this and that will include makeup, makeup tools and nail care. Fyi these favourites don’t include my all time favourites. These are just the items that I’ve been constantly using and loving for the last year or a bit more. I’ve only included the best of the best otherwise we’d be here for two months. 🙂 So let’s jump right in to see what I’ve loved the most in 2015…

Since I’ve recently talked about the “Sephora Bubble Mask”, I thought why not talk about the new(ish) “Mud Mask” too. This time we have a mask that’s more suitable for oily skin. It’s a purifying and mattifying mask so if you have oily and shiny skin this might come in handy. I don’t have any problems with shine but I’d still like a purifying mask. I just don’t feel like other kinds of masks do enough of cleansing the skin. I use the “Glamglow” masks right now as my go-to mud masks but this might be worth a try too. I also like “The Body Shop Tea Tree
Oil Mask” which is a clay mask and it’s just soooo good. If you have oily, blemish-prone or shiny skin, you can try this out this Sephora mask and see if you can find a dupe for “Glamglow” or “The Body Shop” masks. Again, this is gonna be another really short post and I’m really sorry about it but it’s been a hectic week and an even more hectic day. So hopefully I’ll be back with more to write about next week. Geçenlerde “Sephora Bubble Mask”ten bahsettiğim için bugün de dedim ki neden yeni(msi) “Mud Mask”ten bahsetmiyorum. Bu seferki yağlı ciltler için daha uygun olan bir çamur maskesi. Arındırıcı ve matlaştırıcı bir maske olduğu için eğer yağlı ve parlayan bir cildiniz varsa bu işinize yarayabilir. Benim parlama gibi bir problemim olmuyor ama yine de arındırıcı bir maskeyi de seviyorum. Diğer tarzdaki maskeler cildimi yeterince derinlemesine temizlemiyor sanki. Bu aralar ben çamur maskesi olarak “Glamglow”un maskelerini kullanıyorum ama bu da denemeye değer gibi. Bir de kil maskesi olarak “The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Mask”ini seviyorum. Çay ağacı yağı özlü bu maske de çoooook güzel. Eğer yağlı, sivilceye yatkın ya da parlayan bir cildiniz varsa siz de bu Sephora maskeyi deneyip “Glamglow” ya da “The Body Shop” maskelerine muadil bulabilir misiniz diye bir bakın derim ben. Yine kısa bir yazı olduğunu biliyorum ve çok özür dilerim ama çok yoğun bir hafta ve daha da yoğun bir gün oldu. Umarım haftaya yazacak daha fazla şeyle dönmüş olacağım. Hello everyone! Today I want to talk about something I’ve discovered recently. I’ve had the “Sephora 2-in-1 Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Gel” in sample size for some time but I only tried it out recently when I went on a little vacation. Before that I was using “The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover”. The one that I had was an older version I reckon because it was in a tube and in gel form, not like the new watery formula that comes in a plastic bottle. That thing (I want to call it “thing” ’cause I don’t want to curse on my blog) hurt like a (can’t keep up with not cursing) b***h. It was impossible to use, at least for me, so I got rid of it. I haven’t tried the newer formula so I don’t know what it’s like now but since then I’ve found something that works much better for me.
Herkese merhaba! Bugün son zamanlarda keşfettiğim bir şeyden bahsetmek istiyorum. “Sephora 2-in-1 Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Gel”, 2’si 1 arada suya dayanıklı göz makyajını çıkarıcı bir jel. Bu makyaj çıkarıcı deneme boyu olarak bende bir müddettir vardı ama ancak bir süre önce ufak bir seyahate çıktığımda deneme fırsatı buldum. Ondan önce “The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover”ı kullanıyordum. Yalnız sanırsam bendeki eski versiyonuydu çünkü tüpte ve jel yapıdaydı, şimdiki gibi plastik şişede su gibi yapıda olan değil. O şey (“şey” diyorum çünkü blogumda küfretmek istemiyorum) deli gibi can yakıyordu. En azından benim için kullanması imkansızdı o yüzden kendisinden kurtuldum. Yeni formüllüsünü denemediğim için nasıl olduğunu bilmiyorum ama o zamandan beri işime daha çok yarayan başka bir şey buldum.
This Sephora makeup remover was given to me in two small sample tubes after my purchases. It says on the tube that it “removes while caring” which is the 2-in-1 part. It does remove beautifully but I’m not too sure about the caring part. I definitely need an eye cream after I use the remover but I have kinda dehydrated skin anyway. Back on the removing part, I put a small amount on a cotton pad and keep it on my eye for a few seconds. For waterproof makeup I keep it on a bit longer than that. If you don’t wear waterproof makeup, you don’t have to wait for a few seconds to wipe your makeup away but it saves me from the mess of dragging my whole makeup around my face. It’s so gentle and doesn’t sting my eye at all. For my face I use makeup wipes but you might as well use this if don’t have another option. By the way, this whole routine is for when I’m away from home. I normally use “The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil” which is AH-MAA-ZING! The only problem is I don’t find it reliable enough to take it around with me as it comes in a pump bottle. If you’re looking for a gentle waterproof eye makeup remover too, I do highly recommend this one. Thank you for reading and I’ll see you on Wednesday! x
Bu Sephora makyaj çıkarıcı bana satın aldıklarımdan sonra hediye olarak iki küçük deneme boyu tüp halinde verildi. Tüpün üstünden “makyajı çıkarırken bakım yaptığı da” yazıyor, 2’si 1 arada kısmı bu. Gerçekten güzel çıkarıyor makyajı ama bakım yapma kısmı konusunda pek emin değilim. Kullandıktan sonra mutlaka bir göz kremine ihtiyaç duyuyorum ama benim cildim zaten nemsiz sayılır. Çıkarma kısmına dönecek olursak, pamuğun üzerine az bir miktar koyup gözümün üstünde birkaç saniye bekliyorum. Suya dayanıklı makyaj için biraz daha uzun tutuyorum. Suya dayanıklı makyaj yapmıyorsanız, makyajınızı silmek için birkaç saniye beklemek zorunda değilsiniz ama makyajın tüm yüzüme dağılması derdinden kurtardığı için ben yine de böyle tercih ediyorum. Yüzüm için makyaj temizleme mendili kullanıyorum ama eğer başka bir opsiyonunuz yoksa bu da iş görür. Çok nazik ve gözü kesinlikle yakmıyor. Bu arada, tüm bunlar benim evde olmadığımda gerçekleştirdiğim bir rutin. Normalde “The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil” papatya özlü makyaj çıkarıcı yağı kullanıyorum ki MÜ-KEM-MEL bir ürün! Tek problem yanımda gezdirmek için pek güvenilir bulmuyorum çünkü pompalı bir şişesi var. Since I read somewhere about the benefits of Vitamin C, I’ve been looking out for some affordable skin care products and the largest range that I discovered is offered by The Body Shop. They have loads of Vitamin C products, they have everything covered but my eyes are set on the “Vitamin C Skin Reviver”. This clear product acts as a face serum as well as a makeup base. Vitamin C is supposed to make your skin more radiant and energised, getting rid of dull skin. I’m also thinking about getting the “Vitamin C Facial Radiance Capsules” which is basically the same thing but for the night time. The problem is that I can’t bring myself to pay full price for these. I have tonnes of skin care products laying around in my bathroom so I’m waiting for some kind of an offer at least. By the way, the “Skin Reviver” also includes “light reflecting particles” in it so I assume you’d see the difference right away. Especially when I don’t wear any makeup, I fancy something that can make me look more alive and that works in an instant. This might be the one for me although I don’t know about the long-term effects of it. I tried it out on my hand in the shop and it did feel really good. It made my skin (to be more specific the back of my hand) really smooth and velvety but I couldn’t notice anything about the brightening effect. Obviously that was just on my hand so I wasn’t expecting to leave the store with a radiant and energised hand. I did like the texture so for me that’s enough reason to give it a chance. Now I’ll just wait and see where my current Vitamin C obsession’s gonna take me… And in the meantime you can see the whole range here. x

Bir sürü Vitamin C ürünleri var, her şeyi düşünmüşler ama benim gözüm “Vitamin C Skin Reviver”da. Bu şeffaf ürün hem yüz serumu hem de makyaj bazı olarak kullanılabiliyor. Vitamin C’nin en büyük özelliğiyse sizi matlaşmış, soluk cildinizden kurtarıp daha ışıltılı ve enerji dolu bir cilde kavuşturmak. Benim almayı düşündüğüm diğer bir ürünse “Vitamin C Facial Radiance Capsules”. Temelde öteki ürünle aynı şey ama bu gece için. Sorun şu ki kendimi bu ürünlere tam fiyat ödeyecek kadar hazır hissetmiyorum. Banyomda kullanılmayı bekleyen tonlarca cilt bakım ürünü var ve en azından indirime falan girene kadar bekleyebilirim diye düşünüyorum. Bu arada, “Skin Reviver” içinde “ışığı yansıtan tanecikler” de bulunduruyor, yani bu da demek oluyor ki sonucu anında görebiliriz. Özellikle hiç makyaj yapmadığım günlerde beni daha canlı gösterecek ve hemen sonuç alabileceğim ürünler istiyorum. O nedenle bu tam benlik olabilir ama uzun süreli sonuçları nasıl olur hiçbir fikrim yok. Mağazada elimde denedim ve yapısını gerçekten çok beğendim. Cildimi (daha doğrusu elimin tersini) yumuşacık ve kadifemsi yaptı ama ışıltı vermesiyle ilgili bir fark göremedim. Tabi ki sadece elimde denedim ve mağazadan ışıltılı ve enerji dolu bir elle çıkmayı falan beklemiyordum. Yine de yapısını beğendiğim için bir şans vermeye değer diyorum. I have to admit… I have a thing for masks… I just can’t have enough of them and every time I’m expecting too much from a mask, probably a miracle. This time I’ve got my eyes set on “The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask”. As its name suggests it is a quite bouncy mask, it really has a weird texture. You put your finger in and out and you end up with no product at all. You have to scoop the gel-like product out with the teeny tiny spoon it comes with. The product itself doesn’t even look touched after using, it goes right back to its smooth surface. Like it says it’s a sleeping mask so you need to apply it right before going to bed and leave it overnight which is my favourite way to apply masks. I don’t like when I need to apply a mask then wash it off and it gets messy. This is far easier than that, you apply a dollop on your face then forget about it and get a good night’s sleep. You’ll wake up five years younger. No, you won’t. (I’m not finished with lame jokes yet 🙂 ) But you should at least feel and see a little something something on your face the next morning. It’s enriched with Edelweiss stem cells which helps replenish the skin. I quite like the easiness and the idea behind this mask so it remains in my near future (like next week) wishlist. Also my inner child loves the funny bouncy texture of it. 🙂
İtiraf ediyorum… Maskelere karşı bir ilgim var… Ne kadar alsam da yetmiyor ve her seferinde çok fazla şey, hatta bir mucize bekliyorum. Bu sefer istek listemde “The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask” var. Maskenin çok enteresan bir yapısı var. Parmağınızı içine daldırıp çıkardığınızda elinize hiç ürün gelmiyor. İçinde gelen minicik kaşıkla ürünü almanız gerekiyor. Ürün kullanıldıktan sonra hiç kullanılmamışçasına eski pürüzsüz yüzeyine dönüyor. İsminde de dediği gibi bu bir uyku maskesi, yani gece yatmadan önce uygulayıp bir gece boyunca yüzünüzde bırakıyorsunuz. Açıkçası benim en sevdiğim maske uygulama yöntemi de bu zaten. Bir maskeyi uygulayıp sonra yıkamaktan hoşlanmıyorum. Bu çok daha kolay, yüzünüze az miktarda uygulayıp her şeyi unutuyorsunuz ve güzelce uyumaya bakıyorsunuz. Uyandığınızda ise beş yaş genç gözüküyorsunuz. Hayır, gözükmüyorsunuz. (Kötü şakalarım henüz bitmiş değil 🙂 ) Ama en azıdan ertesi sabah yüzünüzde ufak da olsa bir değişiklik görmeniz ya da hissetmeniz gerekir. Bu maske cildin tazelenmesine yardımcı olan Edelweiss kök hücreleriyle zenginleştirilmiş. Ben maskenin kolaylığını ve vaat ettiklerini beğendim ben, o yüzden de yakın gelecekteki (mesela önümüzdeki hafta) istek listemde yerini koruyor. Ayrıca içimdeki küçük çocuk da yapısını çok seviyor. 🙂
Hi from another Swatch & Show Sunday! Today I’ll review some single eyeshadow from The Body Shop. These are in their “Colour Crush” line. I have four of them; “225 Brownie & Clyde”, “210 Bronze Bliss”, “205 Caramel Flirt” and “220 Chocolate Linger”. These shadows are amazing! They’re so buttery and easy to blend, not chalky at all. And the colour pay-off is gorgeous. But since they’re not waterproof you might be better off using a shadow primer underneath. To be honest I always forget this step and they don’t crease on me anyway. Still they’d be more long-lasting with a primer so I recommend using one. You can also use these wet so that’d be a good alternative if you don’t have a primer. There is a wide range of colour selection in this line too, there are 30 shades in total. You can go with a neutral, natural look or really bright. Of course I opted for some nude ones and I’ll definitely be buying more. I already have my eyes set on a couple of more earthy shades. I just wish we could do a personalised eyeshadow palette with these. I’d love to keep them in the same place instead of having to use them one by one. These retail for 7GBP and it has 0,05oz in it. Bende dört adet mevcut; “225 Brownie & Clyde”, “210 Bronze Bliss”, “205 Caramel Flirt” ve “220 Chocolate Linger”. Bu farlar bir harika dostum! 😀 Yumuşacık ve dağıtması çok kolay, kesinlikle öyle tozutma falan yapmıyorlar. Pigmentasyonları da müthiş. Ama suya dayanıklı olmadıkları için altına bir far bazı kullanmak daha iyi olabilir. Açıkçası ben bu adımı hep unutuyorum ama zaten bende topaklanma yapmıyor ya da çizgilere dolmuyorlar. Yine de bir far bazıyla daha kalıcı olurlar o yüzden ben yine de öyle bir şey kullanmanızı öneririm. Bunları aynı zamanda ıslak olarak da kullanabilirsiniz o yüzden elinizde herhangi bir far bazı yoksa bu da iyi bir alternatif olabilir. Bu serinin renk seçenekleri de oldukça bol, toplamda 30 renk var. İster daha doğal bir görünüm elde edinin ister çok parlak. Ben tabi ki doğal birkaç renk seçtim ama daha fazla almayı düşünüyorum. Şimdiden gözüme toprak tonlarında birkaç renk daha kestirdim. Yalnız bunlarla kişisel bir far paleti oluşturabilseydik çok iyi olurdu. Hepsini tek tek kullanmak yerine bir arada tutabilmeyi çok isterdim. 1,5gr ürün için 30₺’lik bir fiyatı vardı galiba. Klasik olarak yine tam fiyat hatırlamıyorum. Hi, everyone! Today I have a teeny tiny Revlon haul on my blog and I wanted to share what I think of these recent additions to my small Revlon collection. Now we can actually get Revlon in Turkey there will be more Revlon coming for sure. Before that I used to order from a) websites with international shipping and b) Instagram accounts. This time I grabbed an eyeshadow palette, a highlighting palette, a lip butter and a lipstick. I also wanted to get one of their Moisture Stains but they were out of the colour I wanted. Bundan önce ya yurt dışı gönderimi olan websitelerinden ya da Instagram hesaplarından bulup alıyordum Revlon ürünlerini.
