As I can never say no to cream eyeshadows, of course I had to include these “Batter Up” eyeshadow sticks from The Balm in my wish list. If I see a cream/mousse/stick eyeshadow, I just have to try it. These ones from The Balm come in eight different shades. All of the shades are really beautiful colours and I think there’s something for everyone. Even as a neutral lover I like the green and plum shades too though I wouldn’t wear them myself. My problem with shadow sticks are however that they’re not always blendable and can apply pathcy. These ones have really good reviews online so I have higher expectations about them. I quite like the bronze and chocolate brown shades of these eyeshadows so those will probably be the ones that I’ll try in the first place. The Balm is relatively more affordable to some high end brands like By Terry or Laura Mercier so it’d be great to find an alternative to those ones. Kiko does some killer eyeshadow sticks as well and it’s a more affordable brand so if you can find a Kiko near you, definitely check their stick shadows out. These ones from The Balm are surely worth a try. I’ll grab a couple and share with you what I think about. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you on Friday! x

Krem farlara asla hayır diyemediğim için tabi ki The Balm‘ın “Batter Up” kalem farları da istek listeme girdi. Krem/köpük/kalem far gördüm mü dayanamıyorum. The Balm‘ın bu farlarının sekiz farklı rengi var. Renklerin hepsi çok güzel ve bence herkese göre bir şeyler var. Ben doğal tonlar sevmeme rağmen yeşil ve mürdüm renktekileri de çok beğendim ama yine de ben kullanmam. Benim kalem farlarla ilgili sıkıntım ise her zaman pek dağıtılabilir olmuyorlar ve güzel sürülemeyebiliyorlar. Bunlarsa internette oldukça iyi yorumlar almış o nedenle beklentimi biraz yüksek tutuyorum. Ben en çok bronz ve çikolata kahve renktekileri beğendim o yüzden muhtemelen ilk aşamada onları alıp deneyeceğim. The Balm, By Terry ve Laura Mercier gibi öteki pahalı markalara göre kısmen daha uygun fiyatlı o nedenle de eğer onlara alternatif olabilecek nitelikte bir ürünse çok mutlu olacağım. Kiko‘nun da kalem farları inanılmaz güzel ve daha uygun fiyatlı bir marka o yüzden eğer Kiko‘nun ürünlerini bulabilirseniz mutlaka kalem farlarına bir göz atın derim. MY WISH LIST / İSTEK LİSTEM: KIKO “BLOOMING GLOW REVITALIZING FACE SERUM”

Hello everyone! Today I have a Kiko product to talk about but it might come as a bit of surprise because today’s product is not a makeup item. Kiko is well-known for their amazing quality makeup items but they also do skin care. What I’m really intrigued to try out from their skin care range is the “Blooming Glow Revitalizing Face Serum”. Honestly I’m not big into face serums. If I find an interesting one, I try it out but there isn’t one that I can say I love. I saw this Kiko one a few days ago on Instagram and even though I haven’t had a chance to see it in person, I already love the name and how this product looks. Kiko claims that it gives the skin a boost of moisture, evenness and luminosity; all of which are the effects I’d like to see on my face too. The serum contains cute little micro-capsules of vitamins that I love to look at. For some reason I can’t find anything more amusing than tiny little colourful micro-capsules in a skin care item. I promise though, this is not the only reason I want it in my skin care collection. 🙂

Herkese merhaba! Bugün bir Kiko ürününden bahsedeceğim ama bir sürprizim var, bugün bahsedeceğim ürün bir makyaj ürünü değil, bir cilt bakım ürünü. Kiko çok kaliteli makyaj ürünleriyle tanınsa da cilt bakım ürünleri de var. Cilt bakımı serilerinden benim ilgimi asıl çeken ürünleri ise “Blooming Glow Revitalizing Yüz Serumu” oldu. Açıkçası ben pek serum aşığı bir insan değilim. Eğer ilginç bir tane bulursam deniyorum ama bayıldığım bir tane bile serum olmadı henüz. Bu Kiko serumu ise birkaç gün önce Instagram’da gördüm ve henüz yakından görme şansım olmasa da şimdiden adına ve görünüşüne aşık oldum. Kiko bu ürünün cilde nem, eşitlik ve parlaklık verdiğini iddia ediyor; hepsi de tabi kendi cildimde de görmek isteyeceğim etkiler. Serumun içinde bakmaya doyamadığım vitaminler içeren çok sevimli küçük mikro kapsüller var. Nedense hiçbir şey bana cilt bakım ürünlerinin içindeki rengarenk mini mini mikro kapsüllerden daha eğlenceli gelmiyor. Ama söz bu ürünü isteme nedenim yalnızca bu değil. 🙂

NEW / YENİ: KIKO CONTOURING PENCIL SET

Yes, the whole world is going crazy with “strobing” but let’s go back to “contouring” for a second. Loads of brands have been coming out with contours and highlighters in stick form and Kiko’s now joined the party. I have my eyes set on another one too, the Tyra Banks ones but those are so hard to get a hold of so I’ll start with something easier like these ones from Kiko. I have fair skin and it can get a bit hard to find a contouring product that’s not orangey. It’s also hard to find a highlighter that doesn’t make you look like a disco ball. I’m yet to find these in stick form, something I reckon would be convenient enough to have it with me wherever I go. These pencils are in Kiko’s new “Rebel Romantic” collection which explains the lovely rose gold packaging. But there’s more to that… Unlike some other brands that only have “universal” contour shades, these come in two different shades; “01 Light to Medium” and “02 Medium to Dark”. I’m glad that at least they’re giving us options here. And the 9.90GBP price tag for the set seems reasonable enough to me. Kiko has never let me down yet so it might be worth it. I guess we’ll just have to try these new contouring pieces and see.

Pek çok marka stik formda kontür ve aydınlatıcı çıkarıyordu ve partiye son katılanlardan biri de Kiko oldu. Bir de Tyra Banks’in çıkardıklarında gözüm var ama onu bulması bayağı zor olduğundan Kiko gibi az daha kolay bir şeyle başlayım dedim. Benim tenim açık renk olduğu için turuncumsu gözükmeyen bir kontür ürünü bulmak bazen zor olabiliyor. Aydınlatıcıda da sizi disko topuna döndürmeyecek bir ürün bulmak epey zor zaten. Bunları henüz stik formda bulamadım. Stik diye tutturma sebebim de nereye gidersem gideyim yanımda kolayca taşımak istememden. Bu kalemler Kiko’nun yeni “Rebel Romantic” koleksiyonundan. Zaten pembe altın renkteki ambalajlar da açıklayıcı olmuştur. Ama bundan fazlası var tabi… Bazı markaların aksine bunlarda tek bir “evrensel” renk yok, iki rengi var; “01 Light to Medium” ve “02 Medium to Dark”, yani açık-orta ve orta-koyu tenler için. En azından seçenek vermişler yani. Set için 9.90GBP etiket fiyatıyla da en azından cüzdanları pek zorlamayacak. Kiko şimdiye kadar beni hiç hayal kırıklığına uğratmadı o yüzden değebilir. Galiba bu yeni kontür ürünlerini bir deneyip görmemiz gerekecek. Hello and welcome to my June favourites post! I’ve been trying to use something different each day so coming up with favourites at the end of the month is getting a bit difficult. But I still have some products I kept using the whole month. I’m not gonna keep the intro long and get started right away.

REVIEW / YORUM: KIKO LONG LASTING STICK EYESHADOW “38”

Beware, this is going to be a rave post (mostly). I might be quite late to try out Kiko products but this shadow stick is my first ever Kiko product. A few posts when I wrote about Kiko’s new collection I ordered a few things from a seller. Since we don’t have Turkey it just had to happen at some point. My order arrived a few weeks ago and I thought I’d write about my favourite one, the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in number “38”. I hate when makeup products only have numbers instead of names. -.- Anywho, when I first applied this shadow, oh my God, it was heaven! It is the softest, creamiest, most beautiful shadow stick ever! Seriously, the quality of this is unbelievable! They are considered dupes for By Terry Ombré Blackstar Shadow Sticks and I can see why. The packaging may not be as luxurious but it’s still really good quality with its sleek black design. I have loads and loads of eyeshadows in every form and this stick shadow is the creamiest I have. It’s so buttery soft and easy to apply. It’s undeniably easy to blend too. And once it sets it doesn’t budge or crease. Of course I’m talking about this particular shade and I am yet to try other shades so this might not be the case for all of them. The colour is the most gorgeous taupy brown shade ever. But… There’s a huge but… It is glittery! I’m talking about full on specks of glitter! It is the most annoying thing ever, to have something this gorgeous and see it ruined like that. When I looked up swatches online I saw that it had glitter in it but it seemed like tiny golden shimmer. When I actually put it on however, you can see it has huge chunks of multi-colour glitter in it. For a neutral lover like me it’s fine for night time. But it’s so beautiful to only use at night. I’ll keep wearing it during the day though, but I just wish it didn’t make me look like a disco ball around my eyes after a few hours. I have a really bad habit that I touch my eyes then touch all over my face without realising. You can guess the rest, I end up with glitter all over my face. But other than that it really is a gorgeous colour and a gorgeous shadow. With only 6,90GBP it’s a much more affordable alternative to By Terry ones. There is a huge range of colour options and if you’re on the hunt for By Terry’s “Misty Rock” then you should definitely try out Kiko’s “05” which is next in my wishlist. 😉

   

     

Kendinizi hazırlayın, bu oldukça övgü içeren bir yazı olacak (çoğunlukla). Kiko ürünlerini deneme konusunda epey gecikmiş olabilirim ama ilk Kiko ürünüm bu kalem far oldu. Birkaç yazı önce Kiko’nun yeni koleksiyonundan bahsederken Instagram üzerinden Kiko siparişi verdiğimi söylemiştim. Buradan @tuocosmetico’ya çok çok teşekkür ediyorum, çok çok özenilerek hazırlanmıştı siparişim. Türkiye’de Kiko olmadığı için ben böyle bir yola başvurdum ve çok da memnun kaldım. Siparişlerim birkaç hafta önce geldi ve ben de aralarından en sevdiğim hakkında bir şeyler yazayım dedim ki o da Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow “38” oldu. Makyaj malzemelerinde isim yerine numara olmasından nefret ediyorum. -.- Neyse, bu farı ilk sürdüğüm an cennette gibi hissettim! Dünyadaki en yumuşak, en kremsi, en güzel kalem far herhalde budur! Gerçekten de kalitesi inanılmaz! Bunları By Terry Ombré Blackstar kalem farlara muadil gösterilmesini anlayabiliyorum. Ambalajı o kadar lüks olmayabilir, yine de oldukça kaliteli sade siyah bir ambalaja sahip. Her yapıda tonla farım var ama kalem far kesinlikle en kremsi olanı. Kaymak gibi yumuşacık ve sürümü çok kolay. Dağıtması da müthiş kolay ve sabitlendiği zaman kesinlikle bir yere gitmiyor ya da çizgilere dolmuyor. Tabi benim bahsettiğim sadece bu renk için ve diğer renkleri henüz denemediğimden onlar hakkında yorum yapamayacağım. Sonuçta hepsi aynı olmayabilir. Bu renkse inanılmaz güzellikte “taupe” kahve diyebileceğim bir renk. Ama… Kocaman bir aması var işte… Simli! Bayağı bayağı simli hem de. Bu kadar güzel bir şeyin böyle mahvedilmesi gerçekten çok sinir bozucu. İnternetten swatchlarına baktığım zaman içinde sim olduğunu görmüştüm ama ufak altın renginde ışıltılar halinde gözüküyordu. Sürdüğüm zamansa bunların koca koca çok renkli simler olduğunu fark ettim. Doğal renkler seven biri olarak gece sürülebilir tabi. Ama sadece gece kullanmak istemeyeceğim kadar güzel bir renk, o yüzden de gündüz de sürmeye devam edeceğim. Yine de birkaç saat içinde gözlerimin etrafını disko topuna çevirmeseydi iyiydi. Çok kötü bir huyum var, farkında olmadan gözlerime elleyip sonra da yüzümün her tarafını ellediğim için bir süre sonra yüzümün her yeri sim içinde kalıyor. Bunun haricinde müthiş bir renk ve müthiş bir far ama. 30-35₺ (yine unuttum işte) fiyatıyla da By Terry farlara göre çok daha uygun bir alternatif oluyor. Çok da geniş bir renk yelpazesi var ve eğer siz de By Terry “Misty Rock” renginin peşindeyseniz benim de istek listemde sırada olan Kiko’nun “05” rengini denemenizde fayda var. 😉

NEW / YENİ: KIKO MIAMI BEACH BABE BRONZER

Hello everyone! Kiko is back with another summer line; the Miami Beach Babe. And I’m in love with the huge bronzer in this line. The line includes two Beach Babe Bronzers, two Double Deco Blushes, six Miami Click Slick Eyeliners, four Power Pop Mascaras, six Deco Delight Lipsticks, two Party Ink Stamp Tattoos, three Nail Diva 3D Nail Art Kits and two Miami Beach Babe Pochettes. It’s a very colourful, summer-appropriate range too. I’m not a big fan of this kind of packaging though. It’s too colourful for my liking and a bit cheap looking but nontheless it sends out some serious summer vibes. The price range for this limited edition collection is between 5,90GBP and 11,90GBP with the highest priced item being the bronzer. There is a lighter and a darker shade so the colour range is not that great. It offers a radiant matte finish which sounds interesting and dreamy enough for me to try and see. You can see the whole range on Kiko’s website. My favourite matte bronzer is The Body Shop Honey Bronzer but it’s just not a very exciting bronzer. I always dream about another bronzer that I can swirl my brush in and become a beach goddess… which is something I can only dream about since I’m quite pale and cannot tan. 😦 But here’s to hoping with some little help from this bronzing babe! 😉

Seride iki Beach Babe Bronzlaştırıcı, iki Double Deco Allık, altı Miami Click Slick Göz Kalemi, dört Power Pop Maskara, altı Deco Delight Ruj, iki Party Ink Stamp Dövme, üç Nail Diva 3D Tırnak Seti ve iki Miami Beach Babe Makyaj Çantası var. Oldukça renkli, yaza uygun bir seri olmuş. Ben ambalajları beğenmedim yalnız. Bana göre fazla renkli ve biraz ucuz duruyor ama yine de ciddi anlamda “yaz” diye bağırıyor. Bu sınırlı sayıdaki koleksiyonun fiyatları da 5,90GBP ve 11,90GBP arasında, en pahalı ürün de zaten bronzlaştırıcı zaten. Bir açık bir de koyu rengi var, yani renk skalası pek geniş değil. Aydınlık mat bir görünüm sunuyormuş ki benim ilgimi çekecek kadar ilginç ve rüya gibi olan kısmı da o zaten. Tüm seriyi Kiko’nun websitesinden inceleyebilirsiniz. Ben favori mat bronzlaştırıcımsa The Body Shop Honey Bronzer ama çok da heyecan verici bir bronzlaştırıcı değil bence. Ben hep fırçamı içinde dolaştırıp beni plaj tanrıçasına çevirecek bir bronzlaştırıcının hayalini kuruyorum… zaten anca hayalini kurabiliyorum çünkü çok beyazım ve asla bronzlaşamıyorum. 😦 Ama bu bronzlaştırıcıdan biraz yardımla belki umudumu yenileyebilirim! 😉 Kiko’yu nerede bulacaksınız peki? Hello, everyone! Today I want to talk about the new Kiko collection; Kiko Modern Tribes. This collection includes a wide range of products; foundations, BB cream, bronzer, blusher, highlighter, eyeliner, mascara, lip and cheek pencil and brush. All of the products are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and paraben free. The prices are quite affordable too, it ranges between 5.90€ and 17.90€. This is another limited edition collection so if you want to get your hands on it hurry. You can see the whole range in detail on Kiko’s website.There’s also three roller-ball perfumes but I couldn’t find it online. Now let’s take a closer look.
