Beware, this is going to be a rave post (mostly). I might be quite late to try out Kiko products but this shadow stick is my first ever Kiko product. A few posts when I wrote about Kiko’s new collection I ordered a few things from a seller. Since we don’t have Turkey it just had to happen at some point. My order arrived a few weeks ago and I thought I’d write about my favourite one, the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in number “38”. I hate when makeup products only have numbers instead of names. -.- Anywho, when I first applied this shadow, oh my God, it was heaven! It is the softest, creamiest, most beautiful shadow stick ever! Seriously, the quality of this is unbelievable! They are considered dupes for By Terry Ombré Blackstar Shadow Sticks and I can see why. The packaging may not be as luxurious but it’s still really good quality with its sleek black design. I have loads and loads of eyeshadows in every form and this stick shadow is the creamiest I have. It’s so buttery soft and easy to apply. It’s undeniably easy to blend too. And once it sets it doesn’t budge or crease. Of course I’m talking about this particular shade and I am yet to try other shades so this might not be the case for all of them. The colour is the most gorgeous taupy brown shade ever. But… There’s a huge but… It is glittery! I’m talking about full on specks of glitter! It is the most annoying thing ever, to have something this gorgeous and see it ruined like that. When I looked up swatches online I saw that it had glitter in it but it seemed like tiny golden shimmer. When I actually put it on however, you can see it has huge chunks of multi-colour glitter in it. For a neutral lover like me it’s fine for night time. But it’s so beautiful to only use at night. I’ll keep wearing it during the day though, but I just wish it didn’t make me look like a disco ball around my eyes after a few hours. I have a really bad habit that I touch my eyes then touch all over my face without realising. You can guess the rest, I end up with glitter all over my face. But other than that it really is a gorgeous colour and a gorgeous shadow. With only 6,90GBP it’s a much more affordable alternative to By Terry ones. There is a huge range of colour options and if you’re on the hunt for By Terry’s “Misty Rock” then you should definitely try out Kiko’s “05” which is next in my wishlist. 😉
Kendinizi hazırlayın, bu oldukça övgü içeren bir yazı olacak (çoğunlukla). Kiko ürünlerini deneme konusunda epey gecikmiş olabilirim ama ilk Kiko ürünüm bu kalem far oldu. Birkaç yazı önce Kiko’nun yeni koleksiyonundan bahsederken Instagram üzerinden Kiko siparişi verdiğimi söylemiştim. Buradan @tuocosmetico’ya çok çok teşekkür ediyorum, çok çok özenilerek hazırlanmıştı siparişim. Türkiye’de Kiko olmadığı için ben böyle bir yola başvurdum ve çok da memnun kaldım. Siparişlerim birkaç hafta önce geldi ve ben de aralarından en sevdiğim hakkında bir şeyler yazayım dedim ki o da Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow “38” oldu. Makyaj malzemelerinde isim yerine numara olmasından nefret ediyorum. -.- Neyse, bu farı ilk sürdüğüm an cennette gibi hissettim! Dünyadaki en yumuşak, en kremsi, en güzel kalem far herhalde budur! Gerçekten de kalitesi inanılmaz! Bunları By Terry Ombré Blackstar kalem farlara muadil gösterilmesini anlayabiliyorum. Ambalajı o kadar lüks olmayabilir, yine de oldukça kaliteli sade siyah bir ambalaja sahip. Her yapıda tonla farım var ama kalem far kesinlikle en kremsi olanı. Kaymak gibi yumuşacık ve sürümü çok kolay. Dağıtması da müthiş kolay ve sabitlendiği zaman kesinlikle bir yere gitmiyor ya da çizgilere dolmuyor. Tabi benim bahsettiğim sadece bu renk için ve diğer renkleri henüz denemediğimden onlar hakkında yorum yapamayacağım. Sonuçta hepsi aynı olmayabilir. Bu renkse inanılmaz güzellikte “taupe” kahve diyebileceğim bir renk. Ama… Kocaman bir aması var işte… Simli! Bayağı bayağı simli hem de. Bu kadar güzel bir şeyin böyle mahvedilmesi gerçekten çok sinir bozucu. İnternetten swatchlarına baktığım zaman içinde sim olduğunu görmüştüm ama ufak altın renginde ışıltılar halinde gözüküyordu. Sürdüğüm zamansa bunların koca koca çok renkli simler olduğunu fark ettim. Doğal renkler seven biri olarak gece sürülebilir tabi. Ama sadece gece kullanmak istemeyeceğim kadar güzel bir renk, o yüzden de gündüz de sürmeye devam edeceğim. Yine de birkaç saat içinde gözlerimin etrafını disko topuna çevirmeseydi iyiydi. Çok kötü bir huyum var, farkında olmadan gözlerime elleyip sonra da yüzümün her tarafını ellediğim için bir süre sonra yüzümün her yeri sim içinde kalıyor. Bunun haricinde müthiş bir renk ve müthiş bir far ama. 30-35₺ (yine unuttum işte) fiyatıyla da By Terry farlara göre çok daha uygun bir alternatif oluyor. Çok da geniş bir renk yelpazesi var ve eğer siz de By Terry “Misty Rock” renginin peşindeyseniz benim de istek listemde sırada olan Kiko’nun “05” rengini denemenizde fayda var. 😉
